IDC Future of Digital Innovation Awards recognizes unique applications of digital innovation. Specifically, finalists represent successful implemented initiatives featuring key performance indicators to ascribe value to the completed project.

"The 2021 IDC Future of Digital Innovation Insurance and Financial Services Award recognizes an organization that applied the attributes of a Future of Digital Innovation initiative to support its operations. In the case of Raise Green, this organization had a goal of vastly streamlining the process of establishing a green energy initiative that could be funded through a process such as a public stock offering," said Al Gillen, Group VP, Software Development and Open Source, IDC. "We are recognizing Raise Green for the organization's focus on creating a purpose-built application that offers a simple user interface that empowers individuals with no experience in creating a public entity supported by a public stock offering to do so, allowing that individual to focus more on the project itself than how to build the machinery to create the funding for the project."

“The climate crisis is accelerating, and we need climate solutions to scale faster than the pace of the problem. Despite the rapid decline in solar equipment costs, and the flood of new interest in sustainable finance, there are not enough projects to fund -- it is still way too difficult to create and fund community-scale solar and climate solutions. Raise Green makes it easy for anyone to invest in climate solutions for as little as $100, and we’re thrilled to win the IDC’s Future of Digital Innovation Award for our Originator Engine software designed to make it easy for local leaders and clean energy entrepreneurs to quickly develop their projects and get them financed through inclusive impact investment on Raise Green.” said Franz Hochstrasser, CEO, Raise Green. “If you’ve ever walked past a building or property and thought: ‘there should be a clean energy project there’, you don’t need to wait for someone else to build it, now you can put one there yourself.”

We need to make it easier for folks to open their own solar array or urban farm than it is to open a gas station or a fast food store. For more information about the Originator Engine, visit https://www.raisegreen.com/originator-program
