Laura Oldanie - September Investor of the Month

Laura Oldanie is a green living and money coach, who blogs at RichandResilientLiving.com. She helps reluctant capitalists achieve financial resilience on a climate challenged planet. Laura discovered permaculture – a design science that looks to nature's abundance based, closed loop, no waste system as the model for all aspects of our lives – over a decade ago and has been applying it to money and retirement planning ever since.
Determined to avoid the conventional investments that she feels are destroying the very future she's trying to save for, Laura started learning about the many investing opportunities for non-accredited (i.e. not wealthy) investors like herself that are percolating off Wall Street, which address our major social and environmental challenges instead of exacerbating them. What motivated you to invest in a better future on Raise Green?
I’m determined to avoid the conventional investments that are destroying the very future I’m trying to save for. I used the Raise Green platform to make a regenerative investment in the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF). As someone who thinks there are far too few conversations about reducing our consumption and better maintaining what we already have, I was thrilled to see that NEIF provides financing for essential energy and resilience upgrades.
